Terms of Service

Last updated November 7, 2026

The short version

Use Socialus to run your agency and look after your clients. Your content stays yours. Don't use it for anything illegal or harmful. Socialus is in beta, so things may change and occasionally break. You can cancel anytime.

1. The deal

These terms are between you and Socialus, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. By creating an account or using Socialus, you agree to them. If you sign up for an agency, you're agreeing for that agency too, so make sure you're allowed to.

2. Your account

  • Keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
  • Agency owners decide who joins their team and which clients they invite.

3. Your content

Everything you and your clients put in Socialus (posts, photos, videos, answers, messages) belongs to you or your clients. We don't claim any of it.

You give us permission to store, process and show that content only so we can run Socialus for you. Like making thumbnails, or showing a post to the client who needs to approve it.

Only upload things you have the right to use, and get your clients' OK for what you put in their portal.

4. Fair use

Please don't:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
  • Upload anything harmful, hateful, or that you don't have the rights to.
  • Spam people through invites, messages or emails.
  • Try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or mess with how Socialus works.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account.

5. Beta and features

Socialus is in beta. We're adding things and improving it all the time, and sometimes something will break. We'll fix it as fast as we can. Features marked “coming soon”, like auto-posting, aren't part of the service until they go live.

6. Plans and payment

Socialus is free during beta. Before we start charging, we'll tell you the price and give you plenty of notice, and you can choose whether to keep going. Once billing is live, plans are paid monthly or yearly in advance, and you can cancel anytime. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for.

7. Cancelling and closing your account

You can stop using Socialus anytime. Ask us and we'll close your account and delete your data, as our Privacy Policy explains. We may close accounts that break these terms, and if we ever shut Socialus down, we'll give you time to get your content out first.

8. The legal bits

We work hard to keep Socialus running and your data safe, but we provide it “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, like lost profits or a missed post. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada.

9. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
